Opportunities Without Limits (OWL) is a registered charity based in Sawston
that strives to improve the lives of many people, young and old, who have
learning difficulties.
How does OWL help?
OWL's main focus is to create opportunities for people in work, learning,
leisure and now living, but to do this we employ a unique approach.
Firstly, we work to meet the needs of the individual rather than those of
the group. Our programme is designed to suit individual requirements
and so each of the 70 people who access OWL do so in a unique way.
Secondly, independent living can be isolating, once people move into employment
they have an even stronger need for social and educational outlets.
This is why OWL's leisure and learning arms are just as important as the work
one - allowing trainees to stay in touch and to develop new skills before,
during and after work placements have begun.
The four arms of the organisation interact with and complement each other.
